Mara Falls represents a journey, a vehicle to liberation, a joyride with the breaks cut.
First formed in Coventry by guitarist and producer Peter Black, Mara Falls melds stadium worthy anthems with a more intimate, deeper than the surface, writing style. A midnight decision to move to Paris, led Pete to bassist Lola Rose, with her driving and melodic bass lines. The foundations of Mara Falls had been set. Setting infectious hooks to an expansive electronic backdrop, the group was finally completed a year later, back in the UK, by hard-hitting drummer, Peter Szots. With Peter Black’s brooding guitar tones and cut throat vocals, the amalgamation of the three individuals formed a sum greater than its parts; Mara Falls.
Mara Falls burst on the scene in 2017, releasing 'Getaway' and 'One for the Road'. Immediately championed by the likes of BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and TouchFM, Mara Falls took their frenetic live show to stages across the UK. With highlights including O2 Academy Islington Headline show and supporting Magic Wands.
‘Mara Falls are the obsidian in the rough.’
‘With festival-worthy choruses and monopolising beats, Mara Falls electric live show emanates a sexuality that can only be backed up by the members’ visual aesthetic.’
